Autism is a complex, lifelong condition that affects individuals in varying levels of severity. The core elements of the condition are communication, social deficit and repetitive and restrictive behaviour. Sensory processing difficulties are also prevalent with this condition. Individuals with autism can have a co morbid diagnosis of ADHD, PDA, Learning Disability, Mental Health condition such as anxiety, Depression or OCD which means that support needs to be specialised and person centred.
